Nexus Gecko - YouTube Niche Earnings Calculator

Just How Much Can You Earn From YouTube?

How much does 1,000 views on YouTube pay?

What you can earn on YouTube depends, on what niche you are in, i.e. Ecommerce content, Gaming content, or even such things as Animals and Pets.

The CPM (or cost per mille) is the amount you are paid for 1000 views. In some niches, it can be $1-$2. In other niches, it can be as high at $30-$40.

The higher the CPM, the more money you will make. You can use our calculator above to get a rough idea.

Simply select the niche you are interested in, and what you would like to make content about, and type in an amount of views.

Does YouTube pay for shorts?

In the YouTube Shorts situation, earnings come from the YouTube Partner Program through AdSense, memberships, super chat, etc. It also isn't as high-paying, as long-form video. The simple reason, advertisers don't pay as much. So the revenue share to creators on the platform will be limited.

It is however far more profitable than TikTok or Instagram. The amount earned from 30,000 views can vary significantly based on ad engagement, the video's length as well as the audience's demographic, and whether the viewers use ad blockers.

Generally, CPM (Cost Per Thousand impressions) can range from $0.25 to $4.00, but it's highly variable.

Does YouTube pay monthly?

Yes, YouTube pays you every month, but only if you've earned at least $100 or more.

Can you make a living making YouTube videos?

Of course, you can. But you need a large-scale, well-run YouTube channel. Let me explain this to you this way.

Say your CPM is $1.50. So for every 1000 views, you will make $1.50. So to make, let's say, $3000 per month, you would need around 2,000,000 views a month.

Say your CPM is $15.00. So for every 1000 views, you will make $15. To make $3000 per month, you would need around 200,000 views a month.

The niche you select, directly affects, how much money you make. Not just your view count.

Always have some other form of income, while growing your YouTube channel. Once you get to the point it can replace that income, then decide which path you should take.

Is it hard to become a successful YouTuber?

Yes, it can be hard because there are so many people trying to be noticed on YouTube. But that's not to say it's impossible.

Plus you define what success is. Want to make $100k per month from YouTube...? Unlikely.

Want to have a side hustle that brings in extra cash, and is something you get enjoyment from...? More than possible!

When do I start getting paid on YouTube?

It can take a while to start earning money because you need these two elements:

- 1,000 subscribers

- 4,000 watch hours in the last 12 months.

Here's a hack though...

Any video you make, cut them down into Shorts, and place them on the Shorts feed. This will increase your brand exposure, and allow you to start getting subscribers and view time, up!

How much does a YouTuber make with 1 million subscribers?

As we discussed before, it depends massively on the niche.

They can make money from ads on their videos, but also they may have sponsorships, brand deals and affiliations as well as sell their own products or courses.

On average, they might earn anywhere as low as $20k to $200k annually.

Does rewatching my own videos increase the views?

Rewatching videos can count as views, but YouTube's algorithms are designed to detect and ignore artificial inflation of view counts (e.g., bot views).

Increasing legitimate views from a new audience is the only way to scale. The more 'real' people see your video, the more YouTube knows about audience targeting and retention, so it can find more viewers for your future content.
